02/09/2024 - UK extends the period of recognition of CE marking for construction products
UK Government will extend the period of recognition of CE marking for construction products that was set to expire on June 30, 2025. The CE mark will continue to be available when placing construction products on the market across the UK.
NEWS
12/12/2022 - The UK Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have extended the recognition of CE marked construction products in Great Britain for a further two and a half years, until 30 June 2025.
Industry will be able to use either the new UKCA mark or the CE mark during this period, making the transition as easy as possible.
The UK Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities will continue to work closely with the construction product sector to enhance standards and reform regulation to ensure products are safe.

We strongly recommend not to delay the application for a UKCA certificate until 31 December 2024 but to start the certification process in time.
This will give both parties the necessary time to complete the certification correctly. After this date, CE marking will no longer be accepted and there will be no further delay.

Placing PPE products on the UK market
The UKCA mark will not be required for placing PPE products on the UK marketplace, instead the CE mark will continue to indicate compliance to the PPE Regulation.

The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product marking that is used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking, known as ‘new approach’ goods.
