Centexbel International Ltd, UK Approved Body No. 8515, will cease its UK Approved Body activities for the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) Regulations (MER) as of 31 December 2026. To ensure continuity for our customers, Centexbel will cooperate with a recognised UK Approved Body.

Centexbel will remain your primary point of contact for technical discussions, project coordination and certification requests. UK certification activities requiring an Approved Body after 31 December 2026 will be handled in cooperation with a recognised UK Approved Body.

Construction Products

CE-marked construction products continue to be accepted on the Great Britain market (England, Wales and Scotland). As a result, separate UKCA certification may no longer be necessary in many cases, although UKCA remains available as an alternative route. Customers wishing to maintain their UKCA certification will be supported by Centexbel in arranging the appropriate continuity or transfer.

Marine Equipment

For products covered by the Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) Regulations 2025, certification by a recognised UK Approved Body remains required. Future Red Ensign certification will therefore be provided through our cooperation with a recognised UK Approved Body. Existing Centexbel International Ltd, marine certificates issued before the withdrawal remain valid until their expiry date, according to confirmation from the Maritime & Coastguard Agency.

New Applications

Centexbel will no longer accept new applications under its current UK Approved Body designation after 1 October 2026.
